Their journey's in this book was heartbreaking, intense and so raw. Bella has a total break down and she believed Edward when he said he didn't want her as she never thought she was good enough for him. That in turn hurt Edward that she could believe that he doesn't love her when in reality he is so in love with her.
Both of them apart went through hell and when Edward thought Bella was dead he wanted to die too. They can't imagine a world without each other. All the Italy chapters were amazing. Bellas race against time. their reunion, the Volturi, Alice promising that Bella will be one of them.
I also loved all the little parts like the flight home and their conversations that they couldn't put in the film as it would be too long.
One of my fave quotes is from Edwards apology at theend when he apologises to Bella for leaving her and trying to make her see that she is the most important thing in his world ...
"Before you my life was like a moonless night, then you shot across my sky like a meteor, suddenly everything was on fire; there was brilliancy; there was beauty" <3

I think they needed the time apart to realise that life is no good when they aren't together they both need each other. They are connected in a way beyond anything else.
